Our products

- We will constantly review our products to ensure they are made and perform to their sustainable optimum

Our systems

- Our systems will be driven by sustainable thinking, from plant and machinery to our delivery mechanisms

Our employees

- We will provide the tools to enable our employees to build sustainability into their daily work, e. g. tips for reducing their personal environmental impact

Our partners

- We will actively seek out partner companies to work with who share our vision and values

Esselte Sustainable Development

Reducing our Environmental Impact

- We will consistently reduce our CO² emissions in our manufacturing sites as measured in Kg per Tonne production

- Target 25% reduction from 2005 levels.

- We will track our progress towards our goal of recycling over 99% of metal, plastic and paper waste in our factories

- Most of our European factories are ISO 14001 certified, all will achieve this certification by end of 2010

Stewardship of Paper & Paper-based materials

- Esselte is committed to using recycled or sustainable fibres wherever possible in our production

- We will design our products to minimise our use of paperboard in all packaging

- In addition, we will source other materials such as plastic and metal in environmentally responsible ways



Maintaining a Healthy and Safe Work Environment

- We will maintain a safe and healthy workplace with a target of a zero accident rate, helping Esselte personnel and end consumers create a sustainable office through education and training
