Glued in left side, extra reinforced with shirting tape on spine. 8,5 mm ruling, 5 x 5 mm squares. Thick cardboard backing keeps the pad rigid when you're writing. Good paper quality, woodfree, for handwriting - ink goes down smoothly, no smear.
